Clinton also raised money for herself at a $1,000-a-head party earlier in the day at the Wayzata home of Vance Opperman. Reports put that crowd at several dozen people, with Clinton deftly deflecting inquiries about her potential as a candidate in 2008.
"I'm worried about my country," she said at the Humphrey Day Dinner at the Minneapolis Hilton.
"I'm worried we are not living up to the expectations and accomplishments of those who came before."

"We have our work cut out for us and so we fight on," said Clinton, at a sold-out dinner that raised nearly $300,000 for the DFL. "I think it does take a village to raise a child, and it does take Democrats to raise our hopes again."
That's the subject of my thesis....you're right on.
Oh, Puke!
"We stand against their radical, reactionary right-wing agenda."
I see. So opposing your radical Left-wing agenda by going middle of the road and slightly conservative is radical.
OOOooooooo Kaaaaaaayyyy.
Let her spew. Every word is another nail in her political coffin...
More like a cowardly new world of authoritarian socialism. It disturbs me that so many people were willing to pay anything to see her, not to mention that amount.
Considering that there was a time when they would have payed $1000 a head, I'd say she is dredging the bottom, wow she made $200,000.
And I can't wait to see Hillary play the saxophone on the Arsenio Hall Show. Oh, wait a minute...
Ok Hellary .. How about we start with cutting your pork funded prgrams to bring down the debt
Put Up Or Shut Up!
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
same Hillary...different day.
Seriously, is there anyone better at polarizing the country than Hillary?
"we need to make clear we're not going there," she told a sellout crowd"
Sounds like a teenager named Heather.
good point...Hillary will be the lightning rod for all republicans and independents to unite against the threat of socialism in America.
-"We are headed to a brave, new world of extremism, and we need to make clear we're not going there," she told a sellout crowd...-
"Sellout" is a good word to use there, I note.
But then we'll have to call her Lola.
She will get less votes than Kerry. The issue is what candidate Karl Rowe will choose for the GOP to run against her.
True, and stylistically she sounds a lot like Fidel Castro and other Commie aparatchiks.
Regretfully, this clicks with certain leftie types who think that this is profundity.
Regards,
Well, she IS funny. Makes me roar with laughter to think she thinnks she could ever be President. So, yes...she IS a comedian for sure.
While channel surfing last night I caught her on C-Span. All I could think was how could ANYONE, after listening to that shrill harpie, even consider electing her CIC?
