"Let me tell you about a fine group called Christians for Allah. They are all good Christians, but believe that Mohammed was the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and all other Christians need to accept Mohammed's teachings, or burn for an eternity in Hell. I hope you will welcome them with open arms, they want to share Mohammed's message of peace with all of you. Enjoy, and remember, they are good Christians, so they are just like you. If you don't approve of them, you're just a racist, sexist, homophobic extremist fanatic. Here's a Koran." Poor analogy. Try using a religious group whose country and culture has provided sanctuary, liberty, goodwill, and respect towards Christians, as Christians in the U.S. have Jews.
To use a group (muslims), that we are currently at war with and in general have a relationship of animosity (in a great part because our nation's support for Israel, I might add), is a most inaccurate comparison.. unless, what Christians' feel for Islam is what Jews feel for Christians. Is this the case, Alouette?
A more proper analogy would be that of the "Christians for Moses" angle. Ah.. but that one does not plunge the dagger into the heart of the Christian, eh Alouette? Since Christians in this nation consider Jews their friends, it just doesn't convey the digust you intend. I do hope that disgust (for Christians) is not equal to the example you posit.

Ah.. but that one does not plunge the dagger into the heart of the Christian, eh Alouette? I'm opposed to a group using fraudulent techniques to ensnare uneducated Jews away from Judaism and that makes me "anti-Christian" bigot? Or are you suggesting that Christians have been so nice and kind to the Jews throughout all the centuries that we should all just storm the churches and get baptized out of pure gratitude?
"Jews for Jesus" a Baptist group formerly known as "Board of Missionaries to the Jews" is a pernicious group preying on Jewish ignorami who never had the benefit to study their own scriptures and teachings. These Jews are vulnerable and they are being misled. I have no problem with them recruiting unchurched Christians but please leave the Jews for the rabbis and stop acting like you won the greatest trophy when you snag one.

Why are you limiting the relevance to America, today? We can find many periods in history in which Christian countries were not hospitable to Jews, Muslims, or even Christians who followed a different denomination from the officially recognized church, and there have been periods in history where Muslim countries were extremely tolerant and hospitable of Christians and Jews.
The point is that people react badly when someone comes in and says "I represent the next stage of your religion, and it's not just different, it's better and more correct," ok, that's fine, but they then go on to say, "I'm going to appropriate YOUR identity, YOUR religious group's name and practices, and claim to be the true observer of YOUR customs," and then when you get upset at being co-opted like this, you get flamed seven ways from Sunday by well-meaning Christians who don't understand why you would find that upsetting.
Again, step outside of your current thought box for a moment, and think about why "Christians for Mohammad" offends you on a deep level. Then think about the lessons here.
