Bump
And you did a respectable job of it, too.
Well, this thread has officially gone down the toilet.
Too bad.
It would have been nice to actually have a discussion about how much good Jay and the ACLJ have done and how great it is to have a counterpoint to the venomous ACLU.
But the "Jews can never be Christians" fetishists have effectively hijacked the thread. Congratulations.
Who knows, I'm probably wrong.
Fine for you, but I don't live my life doubting. I believe that G-D the Creator is the only Savior, and His original convenant was never nullified.
If I'm right, and you die without knowing Jesus Christ as your Savior, you will perish.
Is that a threat? And who threatens people in order to gain their conversion?
Jews belive that anyone who leads a righteous life will be saved. Christians and Muslims believe that they alone hold the "key to salvation."
I just don't see the improvement.
Glenn suggested I read Isaiah 53. My mind was boggled by the description of the 'suffering servant' who sounded so much like Jesus.
That's the scripture tract that blew me away as well.
YOU make ME "barf."
Take your pathetic paranoid anti-Christian hatred, and park it in a dungeon where it belongs.
Who do you think you are??
Surely, the gentleman welcoming the people into court didn't make the unbelievers feel comfortable that day, right? I'm not implying that Jay is not a Christian. I'm simply saying that emotion is there on all sides. There's got to be something greater or it will fade away. For what it's worth.
It's been tempting from time to time.
Jews for Jesus bump! :-)
What are yout alking about??
Thanks for an uplifting post
oop... you talking..
Yeshua only believed in ONE GOD! Yeshua (Christ) NEVER, NEVER demanded that anyone while He was on this earth bow down and WORSHIP Him. He said, "Worship God!"
If we do love Him, it is because He (the only sinless one) died for us. Worship is love. There were blood sacrifices of animals that were never able to do the job as they had to be repeated over and over each year. He has shed His blood once and for all as the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice and atonement for sin. The book of Hebrews explains this. He is a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
bump for later read
You took the words right out of my mouth.
I couldn't agree more!!
Pipe dream.
BTW, didn't we have a bet going on Bush's re-election? You bet against it, IIRC.
yup snatching souls from the flames... guilty as charged
I met Jay at Borders Book Store at Gwinnett Mall in Duluth just outside Atlanta GA, he and his family were shopping there, and had a great conversation with him. He is a down to Earth type guy and real talented at what he does. God bless him and his family for work they do.
