I know, "NOT AGAIN"! I suppose my bottom line is why are monthlies not a part of the state rankings. It appears to me that when one becomes a monthly contributor you are in effect screwing your state rankings by leaving the state ranking up to those who are not monthly contributors. After all isn't the goal to have monthly contibutors, who are the most reliable of all contributors. So why the apparent penalty when one becomes a monthly donor, or get rid of state rankings as a sign of donation success. The two appear to be counter productive.
I don't make the rules.
That's the way it is, always has been since Freepathons began and probably always will be.
The Monthly Donors know how the Freepathons work.

The state rankings at any moment in time are only for receipts actually received. Where the state rankings really count is at the end of the quarter - like the score at the end of a football or basketball game. Those states with the most monthly donors take their rightful place at the end of the quarter.
All of the monthly donations cannot be recorded as receipts until they are actually received. It's sort of like saying "the check's in the mail." Credit is received when the "check" is received.
Suppose an emergency comes up and I need to cancell my monthly for a couple of months? It's not fair to continue to record it as a donation when it's not received.
Anyway, Monthly donors do help by providing a relatively reliable source of income and make planning for expenses easier (ask Grampa Dave about monthly budgeting!). And it reduces the amount of time the FReepathons run.
But make no mistake, ALL donations make a difference and are greatly appreciated!
Hope you have a nice weekend!
