I was at Princeton on Wednesday for a class when I heard about this story. I heard from the Princeton students in my class that this fellow was also very active in the campus Magic: The Gathering society. go figure, I guess :)

A graduate student in the mathematics department has been charged by Borough police with reckless endangerment and harassment in connection with more than 60 incidents targeting Asian women on campus. He only meant to be lude, not rewd.

Sounds to me like he missed his calling.
He definitely needs to be a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand.

Oxley said he "was really impressed with [Lohman's] mathematical ability" -- so impressed that he recommended that Lohman go to Princeton for graduate school. He encouraged Lohman to work with Paul Seymour, a University professor he considered "the best person" in the field of graph theory.I am a graph theorist. I didn't understand this story because "applied and computational mathematics" does not include graph theory. Also, Paul Seymour is excellent, but his stock has risen because he was part of a team that just proved a very long-standing conjecture. He's in the top 5, but you can't really rank them.

What is Magic: The gathering society?
This whack job (no pun intended)has all the makings of a serial killer. Glad they caught him.
BTW he looks kinda soft and mushy. He'll do well in prison...as some lifer's bunk muffin.
