Prayers for TexasCowboy!

TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.

Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.

So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.

Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!

Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.

Was busy much of the evening crafting something I just posted to you, TC, interrupted over and over by calls and alarms on my electronic MA-CHINE (had to call for Support) -- and THEN saw your reply to my earlier post, after I finally winged the new one to the thread.

Yes - The Mayor and I would love to sit with you and dwell on His Providence and love and grace given us!
How grand that would be!!

Would serve coffee in blue mugs, of course, and hoist them skyward with regularity....all three of us saying

[P.S. - yes, the chow at Parris Island was fantastic, because the chow hall was manned by male recruits who were afforded their *only* opportunity to see and flirt with wimmin..:))

We never had to do KP, and they fed us very well, and in vast quantities!]

TC, you will remember when I totalled my poor Olds Cutlass Ciera two years ago and my right arm was badly broken, the orthopedic surgeon put back into the elbow socket the upper bone, and then 'spliced' together the two shafts of the ulna with a 6" titanium rod.

It was told to me then it would *not* set off an airport alarm.
Haven't flown since then to test that...

Hey, I have lost big money (nickels and dimes) betting on how far a kid could throw a cowpie or just how far a 10 yr old could skid on one. Sure, life on the ranch is more fun than in the city, everybody knows that. Big snakes were lots of fun, the cold creeks and haystacks were our prized play grounds.

XLady -- Just beautiful creations .. you are SO talented and sweet .. they are truly a labor of love and it shows! ;).

Today was the one year anniversary of the passing of a memorable hero .. our great Ronaldus Maximus .. weren't we so blessed that he was our President?

TC, do what my hubby does at airports...

He wears sweats when flying (now that he's officially retired), and when he approaches security, he announces that he has a steel hip. Then he immediately touches the waistband of his pants and offers to "show his incision scar." To date, no one has been willing to take him up on the offer!
