Got it.

I was waiting around for word early on about TC and after 7yrs taught myself (with fellow freeper help no doubt) how to do HMTL font size, graphics and print color.

It just all of a sudden clicked and stayed in the brain.

So I get my practice here.

TC Prayer Bump.

Aren't you a upper N. Cali gal?

I keep thinking that you live in one of the few unpopulated/unexploited areas way North but still shy of the Oregon Border.

With the airlines nowadays I bet you could get a good $ deal(cheaper than Amtrak) dowm to TC and Family.
One of my son's medical support specialists flys from Portland PDX Or to Sacratomato on $49 specials to commute as her 80+ parents adjusting to a downsize lifestyle with quality home health care assistance. LOL Sell the Bentley that sits in he garage dad and hire a in home careprovider.
Once TC is exposed to the sights when up and around he might need "debriefing".

TC, I'm sorry I've been away for a few days and had to catch up on the thread. It sure was good to see you reporting from Calif. and to know that you have fallen into very good hands. Who knows, the hip break may be a blessing in disguise. It got you to UCLA where you will receive the latest treatment for the kidney cancer. Praise the Lord! Being with family is also the best medicine. You are in my prayers each day and each night. God keep you strong and at peace.

I've been informed by "She who shall remain nameless" (Hint she's a Jarhead, that I messed up. TC did not start TT's thread, rather Brad's Grandma did. I checked, and sure enough, I was wrong. Not that I didn't believe her you understand, but the Great RR taught us to "Trust but Verify". :)

In this case though I think I should get 50 hugs rather than 50 lashes, seeings how I was a sleep deprived new Grandpa when I posted that. Still a new grandpa of course, but I've gotten a bit more shuteye.

I am sorry Cowboy, I have been remiss in my posting to you.

I have been trying to put backbones in the Republican Senators for the last 4-5 days...

I have spent a bunch of lovely minutes going through the thread where I left off---it was good to hear from you personally a couple of times...

Prayers up to you Cowboy, all the way to California...you are out in Cowboy training camp territory....that is some beautiful real estate...!!!

I know you are out there for more important stuff than sight-seeing, but it doesn't hurt to have pretty scenery on your trips to UCLA....

later

Oh TC, we're so glad to hear from you!

God bless you, dear one. We love you back!!!

Jan here's an update from EL Roy himself.

You will love reading it...most of it, anyway. But TC has gotten himself out of that naysayer hospital and with the mighty help of our dear Lord, he will be putting on his dancing boots!

Thanks for the update Bennett!

TC, I want you to know there are many that I know throughout Colorado and Free Republic that are praying for your strength and recovery. We love you and look forward to your "voice" being back here once again!

Here are some words I hope you will find encouraging...

"And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5

El Roy, you still owe me that cup of coffee! ;o)

God be with you!

Jan

Cobby,Only someone facing or sharing a serious sickness, pain or tragedy knows how hard it is. They know how hard it is to cope with the fear and uncertainty. They know how absurd it sounds when someone first tells them to "keep a positive attitude". They know how terrifying it is when the doubt comes. They know how hard it is to throw a mountain into the sea. But remember what Jesus told us in Matthew 17:19-20 when he said "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Faith as small as a mustard seed sounds a little like hope to me, and that's a good start. God bless you on your healing journey.

Now that sounds like a good deal, although I'm sure you'll wax me good.I came late to rifle shooting, being primarily a shotgunner until I was about 35. The Air Force only let me shoot a .38, and that only at ROTC field training. Wouldn't be like that now, but in 1971 it was.

I did manage to put a couple of hundred rounds of .45 ACP downrange yesterday. But it was indoors and I don't really care that much for shooting indoors. (I was up in North Texas doing wedding prep for younger daughter's wedding. Afterwords we ate supper (Mexican of course, but not TexMex) with younger daughter and her intended.

Please kiss the little baby for me, Sir ---

I did that, just this afternoon. Held her after the feeding she was getting when I got there. Then later fed her a bottle, burped her and played with a her a bit, then her grandma reclaimed her. :) I got to change the sheet, but didn't have to change her. Not a bad trade-off to my way of thinking.

Prayers continue double daily for your complete restoration.

I have been meaning to bump the thread for Prayers but King Vanity has kept me busy with his agenda.
This afternoon during a nap and having it on my mind to bump this thread I had the most wonderful dream!
The dream was a report/update from you to all of us about your first visit whith Medical Specialits at UCLA. Their report to you was that your health condition will be far less complicated with a treatment plan they have had complete success with and they also told you that while your Texas Medical Center is very good in areas it is one of the lousiest places to be treated for your specific health care needs.

Oh how I pray that dream comes true!

Keep up what therapy you learned in Texas to the best of your ability and continue to enjoy your California visit with family. May God Bless you and all those who share your freindship.
I share his adventures with his freinds via e mail to keep them updated prior to his weekly social outings to visit.
Maybe boring not having interaction with him on this side of the screen but thought I would share.

Subject:    Christopher's Awesome 26th Birthday
May 22, 2005
In the week leading up to his big week end and quaint actual BD on May 23, 2005 this is his adventure.
This is his 26th year and it now in hindsight was unpredictably wild. The plan was to attend "Diva Women of Comedy " at Chinook winds.
Ok we start out at 2pm with a full facial and body spa fast forward to when he walks out the door at 5pm he looks good down to his Big Dog dress shirt and slacks.     I even pulled out the Mens Channel and yes the real stuff.
Load up all the Labs after they take their run and us we are on time leaving Newport at 5:21 P.M.
First we have to go up and visit his good friend at the Keno bar and we mix it up .....She made Chris a Tribal Indian Necklace years ago so you get it ...they are buds.
That gets some of his energy out as she seems to be a anchor for his excitement then he continues on to The Diva Women Comedy show.   It has been three years since he was able to enjoy this show.
Cut to the best part the last gal who does excellent impressions kinda like a female Weird Al come out in the audience to sexually woo/embarrass men.
Well on her way back from that trick she whipped it around to ....Chris and half straddled his chair and talked about how YES she knows she could ride ...well I won't go into her act but in fun she laid a big smooch with her arms wrapped around him.
Grand finale she said he is the best and you all give him a hand....ok you all know his nick name is King Vanity. It was quite the moment in his life.
Well show over and he asked to go to the dance floor and yes he went out danced and had one gal go out with him and acquired one who thought how cute....ego alert!
I am out of breath after making that man and his chair do magic on the floor and rest at the KENO area where he continues his visit with his long time friend, She is a very nice gal all the way around I enjoy chatting with her too.
Well if it was the night in Chinook Winds to have every 98 pound 21 year old this was it and ALL the men were noticing not just Chris.
So that was an added attraction and they were all dressed in bright, wild clothes go figure.
(actually I remember looking like THAT in my Senior Year of H.S.)
Chris also ran into some Newport ladies.
He was happy to also get Mega compliments on his choice of attire and the women who clapped for him at the comedy show got increasingly vacant by the end of the night and wanted to visit......that is when you nod politely and run over toes to allow him to escape.
It is soooo cool to be the Cherry Pepsi drinker/bottled water as I can keep in touch with who he wants to chat with or really chat with and step aside until he nods me back over.
Well I guess you had to be there but it was an awesome night and then he came home and worked on some of his training with the Labradors while I broke down everything to get him off to bed.
We could not take pics at the Casino but he did a short good night with all his thoughts of the night in his sleeeepy eyes and then I had to work with the boyz as they were pint up all night at the Casino.   So they ran a few miles and had me play and work on pet tricks for longer than I wanted too......hence the pics.
Well tomorrow we will rest and Monday he will enjoy his actual BD with a friend of the family.
One gift he has is swivel mirrors that will be mounted high on the wall so when he is in his bed he can see the floor area around him.
He will be able to see the doggies this way.
Thanks to each and every one of you for your interest as it allows us to share.
