I see what you mean now. He viewed gays and abortionists as evil doers so why would he bomb Olympic Park which had lots of innocents and almost no evil doers?
You raise a good point. If he was the olympic bomber, I wonder if he viewed the Olympics as a symbol of evilness. There was a big issue here in Atlanta prior to the Olympics over gay rights. An Atlanta suburb (Cobb County) got some of the olympic events pulled from the county since they had some anti gay rights laws on the book.
The Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (ACOG) kind of went mad with power during the period leading up to the games. ACOG engaged in social engineering by coerceing communities to change laws or ordinances. If the communities complied then they would be rewarded with lucrative olympic events.
I wonder if Rudolf wanted to ruin the Atlanta games in order to embarrass ACOG. That may be why he placed the bomb in a location that wouldn't cause horrible damage but would certainly put a huge scare into people.
Ends up ACOG didn't need any help in ruining the games - they screwed the whole thing up and embarrassed the city and the state.
Ain't THAT the Bill Campbell / Munson Steed truth!
I'm sorry but all this defense for a man who was a terrorist is just disgusting. For those of you who don't know a terrorist is defined as, "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons."
The war on terror should not be limited to Al-Qaeda, but rather all people who seek to use terrorism to reach there goal.
