Are you suggesting CBS had knowledge this guy was working for the other side?

Most likely they were snookered too.

Thing that bothers me is what type of footage has this guy shot up till now? Where was the film in his camera when he got shot headed? To al Jezzera?

We sure as heck haven't seen gun battles from behind their enemy lines on the nightly news.

I don't think you can connect CNN's treason with CBS' bad luck.

I believe we have, although it may have come via Al Jazzeira. That would be a cute cutout wouldn't it? CBS pays the guy, anything they can't claim as their own goes to Al Jazzeira, and then they put it on as "obtained from Al Jazzeira."

I'm saying CBS doesn't just mail off press credentials to anyone who claims to own a camera. This guy most likely has a history and a little due dilligence would have turned something up. I would bet he was fully vetted and hired because of his access to the insurgents. They have nothing to lose and he might turn up some choice footage. They would probably never run his routine footage but they probably have a grand time screening his tapes and watching our troops get wasted.
