The 3 Canadian parties are all left of our democrat party, as best I can make out. The Canadian media are genuine lapdogs of the socialist left vermin who run the country. There is a far weaker freedom of speech allowed and a second class state of civil liberties in general. Taxes are beyond belief. Medical care is second rate, heavily rationed, and often simply unavailable.

The average Canadian is utterly screwed.

You've got it pretty well down pat - except the Conservative Party is more like the Republicans with a much smaller right wing and a lot more RINO's. Plus the odd Liberal isn't too bad on fiscal and anti-terrorism issues and mostly joined up because - being habitually in power - it meant the Liberals were where the action was.

Try to think of our present situation as you living in New York State and having to chose between Rudy and Hillary.

Surely, you'd still vote for the obviously lesser of evils while continuing to work for more substantive change?

"The three Canadian parties are left of our Democrats" = YOU are out to lunch!! Hot air from someone who knows NOTHING. These folks who think a country like this is irrelevant ought not to be so interested in our water and natural gas. Astoundingly ignorant statements.
