Just to clarify...dirt only came into existence after life.. and death. It's the result of the breakdown of formerly living things, mostly by currently living things. Good point. That's why there is no dirt (a.k.a. soil) on the moon or on Mars. It's technically called regolith.

So, the T-shirt my son gave to me that says "Older Than Dirt" means that I am prebiotic.
So....., let's see. If I am prebiotic and I have invented sex, at least a few times, and I have created sons (life), then I must be the Creator.

Very well then. "Regolith" or whatever you want to call it. Does not change the thrust of my meaning.
I do doubt however that the word "Dirt", which is a Middle English variant of the old Norse word "drit" (meaning mud or filth) had quite the technical meaning that you are applying originally.
