And why won't people speed up to pass tractor/trailers? They have huge blind spots and people just toodle along right next to them.

I have never understood this. When I come up behind a car doing this, I let the gap open between me and them until they've passed it, so that I can gun quickly past the rig. I _HATE_ creeping by them at a 10ft/min delta...

My Grandfather owned a trucking company, My Uncle was a trucker, my cousins are diesel mechanics...you stay the heck away from trucks as much as possible. They are big, slow, and have little to no maneuverability. Besides they are working, you wouldn't want some amateur telling you how to do your job, leave the truckers alone people! They actually know the rules of the road, the Interstates were primarily built for them, show some courtesy so he/she doesn't have to worry about your Suburban traveling right next to their rear tires.

We had a guy here in PA who was annoyed (to say the least) that the teenager in the left lane wouldn't let him over. When she finally did, he tapped her car (deliberately) when he returned to the right. Her car flew off the road and she was killed. I think he got more than manslaughter, maybe Murder 2 even.

Makes me want to get over! :)
