And you are assuming that the Democrats will do anything?

What all this complaining is about is simply an attempt to divide the GOP.

Is illegal immigration a problem?

Yes, it is, but it is not going to be solved quickly.

The only way the Democrats are going to regain national power is if the Republicans split their vote.

Some 'hard line' anti-immigration guy will run (who can't get elected) and take enough votes from the GOP to put the Democrats right back in power (like they did with Wilson and Clinton).

That's why the GOP needs to act now and get their crap together....who could disagree with you? We all know the dems won't actually do anything about it, no one here would make the case that they would....it will give them a nice issue to glom onto....wake up GOP!

If I were POTUS, I would solve it in acouple months. I think W has cozied up to Fox and made some promises that he's paying for now.

Wet Teddy will whine and sob all about his ancestors and how it is terrible about people not being allowed to immigrate here and then point the bloated finger at the Stupid Party.

The Stupid Party will persist in looking the other way (in the name of "inclusion" and "big tent").

Better get ready to say, "President Clinton." Again.

Perhaps you should copy that and mail it to the White House a few hundred times - because I'd certainly vote for that hypothetical hard liner.

Just as #5 stated; I support GWB and defend his policies daily but he's letting the entire nation down on this single issue and the GOP is entirely gutless out of simple PC fear of being called racist.

This is true. But how do we get the GOP to change their tune on illegal immigration without some pressure in the form of votes? We may have to lose one election, but it may serve to get the Republican politicians back on the track their constituents want. All my letters and withdrawing of financial support to the GOP because of this issue has done nothing so far.

The Republicans must be sent a message. The only thing they unrstand is losing their elected office.

We can survive a Democrat administration. We did before.

This is the voter form of term limits that you'll never see enacted.

If a vote for a Minuteman takes away from the Repiblicans and sees a Democrat elected so be it.
