I reckon the Catfish that was caught would give that little pussy cat a run for it's money.

Perhaps the kitten will need to call in the 'hussy brigade' for backup?  :-)

Hot seared and soft in the middle. Nothin like it.

My local favourites are BBQ Sockeye three hours out of the water and Wet Smoked Salmon canned in fish oil, (Vancouver Island Native Specialty)

Up here dry smoked Salmon is called Indian Candy.

I always wanted to try Oolichan grease but haven't been able to find any.

but I think it was catching too many of them in the muddy bayous of Houston and the muddy creeks of Ft. Worth that makes 'em a wee bit hard for me to "get into".
That is exactly it! My kids fish at the Bayou all the time, but we would never eat anything out of there - it is strictly catch and release. I seriously doubt this cat would taste good or be beneficial to one's health.

I cought a 455 lb cat fish. Catching the cat fish was easier than putting the 100lb cricket on the hook.

I hooked a one eyed cat fish once but I couldn't get him in the boat, I had to cut him loose when I realized that his other eye was under the other side of the boat.

Hush Puppies are a staple here in the South. Glad you've discovered them. Now, you can sing "That's What I Like About the South."

If she keeps it up, her face is someday going to snap like a rubber band.

I drove cross country with an Elvis impersonator - to see his sister. I dated his sister so I had to go.

We stopped in Hugo to see his grandparents. We stayed a few days and they took us to supper at a little diner. We had catfish, hush puppies and raw onion.

I've never had better catfish or hush puppies.

They sort of cheated on this fish....they caught him on a 25 lb. worm.

When my daughter was three she was trying to tell a waitress what she wanted to eat. She couldn't remember "hush puppies", so she thought and thought and finally proudly called out that she wanted the "doggie balls". In an very loud voice that most people in the restaurant could hear.

I was so embarrassed, but now I think it's cute.
