3 Children Reel In Giant Catfish
POSTED: 4:55 pm EDT April 5, 2005
UPDATED: 5:16 pm EDT April 5, 2005
Three children in Houston, Texas, reeled in a giant blue catfish (pictured, left) while fishing in a bayou, according to Local 6 News.
The Spring Brach Middle School students said it took about 30 minutes to bring the 65-pound fish to shore at the bayou located at Shasta and Memorial.
The giant fish may be the largest ever caught in the area. Local 6 News showed video of the boys unsuccessfully attempting to put the large fish in their cooler. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.

Mmmm...catfish with some hot sauce sprikled on it, some Sam Adams Light beer, hush puppies, colesaw, and Wisconsin rye bread. < /Saliva >STOP IT! I'm already embarrassed to be a Washingtonian because we have the most craven, corrupt and worthless politicians in the entire Nation, and now you're reminding me that it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a bad meal south of the Mason / Dixon line! :-) I already am ashamed of our State Government here, now I'm ashamed of our food too! :-)

Pelosi seems fractionally more self-aware, perhaps.

Doggone, right where I grew up but back then it was WAY out in the country. All we ever caught were mud bugs.

LOL I think that the one on the left is more aware of America's interests and would likely do better if elected to public office :-)

A few years ago I was fishing in the Consolidated Canal under the Superstition Freeway in Mesa, AZ with my high school buddy, Tom when I hooked a large channel cat. When I landed it, Tom took a close look at it and exclaimed, "It looks just like Jesse Jackson!", and it did. Ever since then "Catfish" has been our nickname for Jesse.

Well Done Kids !
Just watch out for a hungry battalion of Viking Kitties who may sniff out this monster catch.

Oh, I know a lot of people love 'em, including Mrs. Texan but I think it was catching too many of them in the muddy bayous of Houston and the muddy creeks of Ft. Worth that makes 'em a wee bit hard for me to "get into".
And the funny part is that I make sausage and it doesn't bother me a bit....

I cought a 455 lb cat fish. Catching the cat fish was easier than putting the 100lb cricket on the hook.

I reckon the Catfish that was caught would give that little pussy cat a run for it's money.
That kitten in the photo is obviously in the Cadet Battalion of the Viking Kitties.

Yummy Yummy, very good for the Tummy!
Eating Catfish makes for some vivid dreams the same night.
I miss Lake Livingston.
Running trout lines in the river, and holding fish Fry's for my friends on land.
Life is only as good as you make it, my friends.
