Actually I would say it is done as a jibe at earlier generations, kind of making fun of them so to speak. As for Jenna doing a dance, big deal. So she was out having fun, God forbid a president's daughter should actually behave like a young person.

I agree-Jenna was having fun at a bachelorette party. I've never seen Jenna being carried out of a club, so drunk she couldn't stand up on her own-ala Chelsea Clinton.
