I spent most of a year disconnecting the wiring from 8 printing press's at our local newspaper, then re-wiring them at the new location.
So basically I was BLUE for a year. A chemical called varisol took the ink off, if you scrubbed hard enough, but then that chemical bleached you. And it ruined your skin, my hands constantly cracked and bled...

The Smelliest job I had was working in live man holes and the scariest was cleaning the fines beneath moving conveyor belts at a rock crushing plant.
