This is more whining by Morial than anything else. Take a look at the end of the article:

the black middle class has quadrupled in size, the African-American poverty rate has been cut in half and there are more black doctors, lawyers, business owners and elected officials than ever before.

Strides are being made. Is the change instant? Nope. Nothing worth having ever is. Celebrate the progress being made. Work to continue that progress. That's what needs to be done.

Morial hasn't figured that out yet.

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

I noticed that comment too - black middle class has quadrupled in size yet he is bitching........ he should come to my neighborhood - looks like the United Nations - we have many black families living in beautiful homes - they weren't given to them, they worked for them -

What we have here is a amalgamation, or a coming together, if you will, of facts that do not enforce the issues and legacies of paleo-negroes who seek to their own edification, or money, if I may, on the backs of underclass black people.

Mmm, hmmm...

You see, real news can not escape their well-placed filters, or spin, if you will, without endangering the oppression, or victimization, if I may, of their own making under which the socio-political underclass Americans of color continue to labor to this day.

Mmm, hmmm...

This, of course, does not mean that they wish that Americans of darker hues can never rise, or elevate, if you will, to their status of living playa-licious, or ballin', you understand, unless you take the avenues that they themselves undertook to secure positions of authority concocted by their Democrat enablers of lighter complexions, or white rats, if you will.

</knowing-nod>

They do not want all underclass blacks completely broke, per se, for that will only hamper their liquor store businesses, but only wish them to have enough sustenance to get fat and out of shape and remain angry enough to cast votes for them, after which they scurry back to their deluxe apartments in the sky.

The preceding commentary was presented by Professor Pookie Raheem al-Shabazz Jones. The good professor also wishes to ask the audience if can borrow $5 dollars until next Friday. He forgot his bus pass.

The liberal press and their counterparts in academia will never acknowlege that the world is becoming a better place. If blacks reached parity with whites in every socio-economic measure there would still be a "crisis" in the eyes of organizations such as the National Urban League. This is unfortunate for those who work so hard to get ahead. They get none of the attention, it all goes to those poor people whom we pay to be poor.
