Actually, Sheriff Beary is very popular in Central Florida. It's the criminals that seem to have the greatest disdain for his accomplishments. Crime and gang related incidents are way down. Just my 2 cents.

Boss Hogg--I mean Sheriff Beary-- confiscates all the deputies' donuts for himself, and only allows them a bite if they make an arrest.
