I think I'm finally starting to understand this story....lol. She is an American citizen who was in Mexico trying to smuggle her brother into Mexico and ultimately into the U.S. The Mexican officials are deporting her to the U.S..

sigh.. I know. You are the one who asked, "Is this what they normally do to others, say originally from Mexico?" I was wondering why you would ask such a question. I think you were the only one confused but I am happy you understand now.
