Go Home And Tell

Read:
Luke 8:26-39

Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you. -Luke 8:39

Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 9-12

cover Two young men had been friends from childhood. One was a Christian, the other was not. The second man was about to embark on a long ocean voyage, and the believer felt the urge to speak to him about Christ before he left. "I'll do it on the way to the dock," he promised himself. But when they reached the dock, he still hadn't done so.

He went on board to say goodbye, and thought, "When we bring the baggage to his room, I'll speak to him." But the porter took the trunks and suitcases, so they did not visit the stateroom. Finally he said to himself, "I'll be sure to witness to him in some quiet place before the ship departs."

Suddenly, however, there came the announcement that all visitors must leave. Two months later word came that the man had died overseas.

In Luke's gospel, we read of a man possessed by many demons who had been wonderfully restored by Jesus. In gratitude to the Lord he wanted to stay with Him to worship Him (8:38). But Jesus said, "Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you" (v.39).

Will you apply Jesus' words to your life and tell someone of His grace and salvation-beginning at home? Don't put it off. Tell someone now about Jesus! -M. R. De Haan, M.D.

To the work! To the work! Let the hungry be fed;
To the fountain of life let the weary be led;
In the cross and its banner our glory shall be,
While we herald the tidings, "Salvation is free!" -Crosby

Any place can be the right place to witness.

I wish I wasn't so "computerally challenged". I have two furkids, but I have 7 Fids! (feathered kids) . I will have to make it a point to learn how to post pics of my birds! :-)

Oh, dutchess - isn't it a marvel that we can be in the most rotten of moods and full of woes, but one look at an animal friend's face can totally transform the moment?!

When I received those critter pictures from my Little Sistah (for 30 years) Terry in Florida, I just *had* to forward them to you..:))

It promises to be a joyous lighthearted day at The Finest.
We need it and deserve it ---

If you wanna be happy, just SMILE !!

I am so sorry that domania was down AGAIN LAST NIGHT - TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW! :( Hope it's not going to be an ongoing thing.

This thread is so delightful! Listening to the midi as we look at those sweet, smiling faces - is there a person in the world who isn't touched by an animal? I don't want to meet them, if so. Thanks, dutchess, fred, giz, and rusty! You sure know how to make us smile. :)

Smiling Critters Day at FR's Finest... can only bring out the smiles on we human critters.

Here's a pic of Jack and Bailey's cousin, Cooper (Christian's dog) attempting to smile for the camera. He's another Goldie.
