Have been here 19 years so obviously don't hate the place , although there are days when I do , but that would be the case back home as well . As for what it is like , well , there have been books devoted to this subject , and I could write one as well . Let me say that they dress like us ; listen to much of our music ; dig our movies ; drive the same cars ; like western food , etc...but culturally you couldn't find a more opposite people , which can be intruiging at times , and exasperating at others . I have no qualms with the people of Japan , but I am no fan of its government ( LDP ) and its policies .

The Japanese government is looking out for numero uno , naturally , and right now it is in their best interest to side with us . Personally , I don't trust them , and believe they'd stab us in the back if it was in their best interest to do so . I see this happening years down the road when China rises to even higher heights .

interesting i would have thought the opposite - since China cannot STAND Japan as they rise i would think Japan would have applied for Statehood ;)

they also kind of assimilate and integrate other cultures into their own particularly American - Baseball, music etc.
I find them an interesting people and i thought that Koizumi was a decent PM (granted i only read that he supports us in certain things i dont know anything about his domestic policies)

I am a Chinese.I'm not surprise at your viewpoint because you are not Chinese.
We are all volunteers in this movement.In fact our gvernment don't sustain us.They force the media not to report anything about this movement.Many websites were shut down because of their report about the movement.
What will Jews think or do if Germany doesn't admit the slaughter in the 2nd world war and their government try to told their children they have never murdered any jew in the war.

Can we agree a country like Japan to be a leader in UN?
