I live in KS as well, and voted for it, but I'm not
happy about it.
If we need to turn constitutions into dictionaries,
that merely codify the definitions of words with
what we had thought were well-understood historical
meanings, then our culture has serious problems, and
such amendments are just rearranging deck chairs on
a metaphorical Titanic.
Depending, of course, on how you define "is".

I hear ya. The fact that the people have to vote to amend a Constitution to specifically state that marriage is limited to a man and a woman is a testament to the moral decay of our culture, as well as a byproduct of radical politicians who issued licenses to two women or two men and activist courts that created law out of thin air.
