Can I ask you a question?
What is your interest in Washington state politics?
You post on nearly every one that comes along, and your posts are depressingly similar:
"If the judges are partisan and vote that way to protect their friends ..."
If this happens, then Washington State will be going the way of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela where a corrupt judiciary is simply a tool for a dictatorship. Ultimately the people must find a way to throw off the yoke of Gregoirevych or submit to tyranny.
Since Washington State is now a dictatorship, the will of the people is of no consequence.
If Gregoire gets to stay without a new election, it is because the GOP won't or can't mobilize the kind of resistance that was successful in the Ukraine. If a 100,000 people camped out around the legislature and the governor's mansion and stopped government services, the result would be different. If Gregoire continues to serve, it would be like Yanukovich successfully stealing the election. She won't be heading a democratically elected government , but rather, a disguised dictatorship.
Great work, but does any of this analysis matter if the judges are partisan? Will Washington State judges rule on the facts or their political affiliations? What can we do if the judicial system is corrupt?
Washington State opponents of Gregoirevych should be watching and taking notes. Protests have, so far, failed to replicate the Ukrainian solution of a new election. Putin may win by tyranny as have the democrats in Washington state, so far.
Do you just post to make us (Washingtonians) feel bad?
The facts are, Rossi is making history by doing the right thing the right way. Rossi & the Washington state GOP isn't trying to find some technical foul that would let us take control (like the dems did). The populous (me included) have staged protests and rallies, and done it all within the system. I suppose that we could riot in the streets, and maybe firebomb the state capitol, but somehow it just doesn't sound right (ya know ;'}
We have citizen activists like Stephen Sharkansky (soundpolitics.com) who are doing massive amounts of footwork studying the voter rolls and election records (and point out again & again the lies that the dems are trying to push off onto us.
AFAIC, you can continue to post, I'm just trying to figure out why you bother....

Now, find ANY indication (nationally) the ANY repubbie is saying.doing/promoting/pushing/denouncing the democrat machine/combating fraud.
Find ANY national speaker on vote fraud. ANY.
In GA, we at least got voter ID through the GA house and Senate, despite democrat ranting and screaming.
In NM, the demogod (excuse me, democrat) governor veto'ed the voter_id requirements that they passed. Naturally.

What is my interest/why do I post about Washington state politics?
I post because it is important not to let what happened in Washington state go down the American memory hole. The soft dictatorship of faux democracy is contagious. Many people accept the symbols of democracy without the reality. If an election was held and if an apparent judicial process is underway, then all is well.
What happened in Washington state is contagious and could easily spread to other states and the national elections. People forget so easily, but the democrats always remember the lessons of what worked. It is important that the rest of us be vigilant to what happened here and not let it be replicated because acceptance is the easiest course.
