CaptainsQuarters blog has been covering this story extensively, in fact is one of the main sites being linked I believe.

The latest installment over at the Captain's site reports the Canadian AG is considering investigating the Canadian blogosphere to find bloggers who have linked back to CQ and broken the publication ban.

Screw that AG. If the Canadian so-called 'Ministry of Justice' is stupid enough to prosecute bloggers in Canada, they just might end up with the classic 'peasants with pitchforks' at the doors of Parliament.

Any punitive steps taken against Canadian bloggers will just result in a massive increase in anonymous proxies and other privacy tools. If any Canadian bloggers are reading this, they should check out:

http://www.cotse.com

I am a long time supporter of this website, based in (of all places) Massachusetts, but the founder of Cotse (Steve Gielda) is one of the unsung heroes of online privacy and security. I receive NO compensation for this testimonial, however I do urge anyone with privacy concerns to take a look at Cotse, which stands for 'Church Of The Swimming Elephant'.

We are lectured on "human rights" ad nauseum by holier-than-thou Canadians, but they don't even have a First Amendment right to free speech, or if they do they let their judiciary take it away???

I've been in the blog many times. Although the government "crackdown" is evil and undemocratic, I'm calling their bluff. Not only have I been in it, I saved it in my favourites file, so government come and get me. I do wonder, if you should put people like me in jail, wouldn't the jails be over crowed. It's too bad that we Canadians don't need to look at your liberal media for news.
