Cold dude. Kinda shifts me to your opposite side even more.

I'm not trying to be cold. I'm just pointing out the fact that a dispute involving two non-governmental litigants in state court is, by definition, a state civil matter.

I'm neither arguing with the conclusion in the narrow sense, nor was I one of those who suggested that flying squads of thugs should be engaged to wisk Terri out of the nursing home. I do believe that the law needs to take into account the importance of continued breathing in these "civil matters". What you haven't told us here is which way you lean on the subject of continued life for the helpless.
