The judge issued a long series of orders that resulted in her death.
Slather all the mustard on it you want, it's still a sh!t sandwich.

"The state only got involved in this matter because the litigants decided to go to court. "
Oh, I SEE now.
The Schindlers should have just shut up and let their daughter be tortured to death?
Or, as Greer said, "The law in this case is that she dies."
Funny, state probate court judge, the state ruled that she dies, your arguement doesn't hold water.

And no, MICHEAL decided to go to court.
HE took it to court to get the feeding tube removed.
You can't just go and remove it.

You are correct. She got a trial & she, er "won". That said, where did the judge get the authority to make it criminal to give her anything by mouth?
To: Jim Robinson
Does your state register them?
To: Darksheare
Oh, I SEE now. The Schindlers should have just shut up and let their daughter be tortured to death? No. The fact that both the plaintiffs and the defendants in the case were private citizens makes this trial, by definition, a civil trial. Therefore, no Constitutional right to a trial by jury.
Or, as Greer said, "The law in this case is that she dies."
Nobody has been able to come up with a reason why Greer's decision went against Florida law.
Funny, state probate court judge, the state ruled that she dies, your arguement doesn't hold water.
If this was not a civil case, then what was it?

"That does not mean, however, that the government sentenced her to death."
Absolutely right on. The government sentenced her to a vacation from breathing.
To: Modernman
And a state judge ruling that she dies is the state ruling for death IN CONTRADICTION to your previous statements.

The state was not ordering death. It was simply determining whether TS's legal guardian had the power to order her feeding tube removed. Then you never listened to Felos on TV. He stated that the court ORDERED the feeding tube removed.

Yep. That's my point. The legalistic arguments in favor of Greer/Michael Schiavo/the Courts/etc., I've seen remind me so much of the arguments used to defend Clinton.
