FORT HUACHUCA - Senior commanders on this southern Arizona Army post have told soldiers they may not take part in patrolling the border with Minuteman Project volunteers.
In a memo to soldiers assigned to the Network Enterprise Technology Command, Maj. Gen. James Hylton prohibited those assigned to his organization, to include the 11th Signal Brigade, "from participating in any active patrolling, monitoring or other intentional act associated with identifying and/or detaining illegal immigrants, either through an organized group, or on you own."

The Warriors are busy being Courts Martialed for Shooting Iraqis and not asking nicely first.
We really don't need that crap here.
The link is www.searclub.com and this article is there, but the letters themselves are not. Looks like I was misinformed, or I can't find them...one or the other!
In the natural world, don't parasites "just get along?"
I have no idea. I too was somewhat confused because I normally see a date on official memos. However, these are the real deal.
I received a PDF of the memos on Friday but had not verified them and exported them to JPEG until last night. I posted them on the SEAR Club website last night and the Sierra Vista Herald published the story this morning.
Sorry for the confusion.
Who's the head of our military? President George Bush. He has no doubt forbidden the military to participate because he is fearful that Vicente Fox will become angry with him. Besides, Bush is for open borders and he doesn't want any illegal to be denied coming to America. Gotta keep that Canada, US and Mexico hemisphere thing going, as Fox has told us about a dozen times. But nobody listens.
thanks for the ping
Political correctness is the real enemy, and it is quickly defeating our military and our country.
Thanks for keeping on top of the illegal immigration topics and for all the pings.
I can see why the military can't get involved at this time. The MSM would twist it, even if the soldiers were on their own time. I'm hoping that eventually they will be ordered to help out! The report does say in paragraph 5 that they should still report illegals that they encounter unintentionally and can participate in the MMP as long as they are not patrolling or monitoring. I assume they can man booths, give out information, etc. So, I don't see this as all that bad or unexpected, given the PC world we unfortunately live in.
Even the great "bloviator" just said on The Factor that he was behind the Minuteman Project.
Hannity has had some good comments on his radio show the last few days...even mentioned the "freepers" in a good light for added measure.
Orders from headquarters? (White House)
Washington wants to keep that steady stream of illegal aliens coming...and doesn't give a crap what America wants.
I agree...especially after John Gibson (subbing for TonySnow on the radio) the other day pretty much ripped Simcox...unfairly in my opinion...usually Gibson's pretty "spot-on" from what I've been able to listen in on. I don't get home in time to catch his television program.
Now that the coverage has been more positive I'll be listening to see what he says next...will be contacting my reps in DC to see how much more in agreement they are in with Tancredo these days as well!!!!!
Seems to be a shift towards the MinutemanProject way of thinking the last few days...these people deserve a ton of credit for getting this rolling. 80% of America agrees with what they're doing and it was revealed today that about the same percent wanted Terri Schiavo to live...we cannot continue to be the "silent" majority...we need to be heard!
I sent out an e-mail to the most local five papers in my area tonite showing my support for the MMP.
Thanks!
