Also, if Hillary does up the ante, and talk of MORE border control...it would force the GOP candidates to match and go further in favor of border control. At least I hope.

I just do not understand why there seems to be such a disconnect between Washington, and the rest of American on this...even "liberal" cable shows have brought up the problem of open borders...

It may take some group going to the border(s) Canada and Mexico, with boards and nails and cement and start putting up tall fences....after all, it took the Minutemen Project to get the subject even discussed!

BOTH parties are equally guilty....but the shame goes to the GOP..

Yep. And I think it is that reason the GOP leadership is mute on the subject. They know if they set the bar, Hillary only has to match or slightly better it. If they ignore it, she can as well, it costs her nothing and us everything.

The Democrats and RINOs would be wise to get on board with this because there's a toy surprise for them inside:

(c) Effective Date- The amendments made by this section shall apply to aliens born on or after the date of the enactment of this.

In other words, the way is clear to grant amnesty/legalization/"normalization"/whatever to all the anchors fortunate enough to be born here prior to this act being signed into law. Right now that's guesstimated to be somewhere around a million.

IMHO, the evacuation of between 10 and 20 million illegal aliens back to Mexico is physically impossible and would very likely result in a civil war.

In no way am I an amnesty proponent, but it could prevent wide-scale insurrection if a solid package to ensure border enforcement were included.

There is no easy way out.

Maybe. That's why we need to send them back and encourage them to return at roughly the same pace they illegally entered.

Not only could it lead to some spotty civil unrest - which would generate demands for more deportations - after a few large scale deportations, Mexico would most likely stop allowing their return.

I'd rather fight them back to Mexico in a Civil War, then let this Country go down the drain. This Bill is DEAD, what a shame.
