Dude, you're from MICHIGAN!! Beside the canucks that come over to catch a Tiger's game, how many illegals do you see every day?
Uh "Dude" those canucks are crossing the border legally. and when I worked in the factories I saw illegals pretty much every day.
Hi there.
*I* am from Michigan, and until recently, I lived in farm-country..
There were lots of Mexicans working some of the bigger farms and orchards.
I know of one place that had HUGE tracts of land, and they had trailers for their workers to live. Their kids went to the same schools my daughter did.
Now I do not know how many of these Mexicans were here legally, but I suspect some of them were indeed illegals.
I'm from Michigan. If I want to see illegals I drive past apple orchards, cherry orchards, and Dearborn. The atms here are in English and Spanish. Think that's a coincidence?
Now ask me about the year I lived in northern Indiana and there were no catholic masses in English, but plenty in Spanish, and the paper had a weekly segment on "How to get US citizenship".
This is a nationwide issue, worse in some places, but it is everywhere.
Well guess what: I'm from TEXAS. I see illegals every day, I am paying higher school taxes, property taxes, etc. as a direct result of illegal immigration. I doubt you would be aware of the problem, from where you sit in the Midwest.
