Here's a quick thought without reading the entire article and just off the cuff. If those jobs were filled by legal workers then the worker would earn the same or more (market dictates) and would therefore pay the same or more into SS than illegals. I got no problem with illegals paying into SS and being unable to receive benefits. Such are the drawbacks to living as a law breaker. Legal immigrants have no o such worries. Now I beetter finish reading the article. Hope I don't turn out looking too foolish.

Didn't exactly stick around to argue the point did he/she?It's the latest round of misinformation being passed around to pave the way for a Totalization agreement with Mexico which will include Illegal Aliens at costs per GAO well in excess of administration estimates. To say nothing about the additional burden that will be placed on Medicaid and Medicare.
This, as George Bush goes around the country talking about the insolvency of the Social Security Program. It's hard to take this guy seriously about anything.
About all I can say is, "So What"....It's likely a lot of employers know these illegals are illegal and don't send in any of what they withheld to the gov't...
And that's probably more the rule than the exception...Unfortunately, there are millions of Americans working for between 8 and 12 dollars per hour so we know they/we will do the work...But employers couldn't get away with not sending in their taxes...
For every illegal that is having SS etc. deducted and sent in there are probably 10 that the employers are deducting the taxes, pocketing the money, and not reporting it and paying in cash.
