Smith is credited with saving the lives of at least 100 Americans by beating back an advancing Iraqi force near the gates of Baghdad International Airport.
For once I'm glad to be cubicle bound. I'm tearing up just reading these posts; I'd need a whole box of tissues if I were in front of a television. Thanks for the reports. God bless Sgt. Smith, his wife, and the "young man of the house."
Not watching on TV, but just reading your acccount of the ceremony is bring a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes.
