"baloney. In america in the 1960s, my father was able to get a job out of college, have a wife who did not work, a new car, buy a home, and support 2 children - all on one income. and even workers who did not have college were able to do the same. know anyone who can do that today? today, we have college grads in their 30s still living with their parents."

This is indeed true.

In the 1960s welfare wasn't a lifestyle. Our leaders didn't tax people for every little thing while letting in millions and millions of illegals. They didn't send billions upon billions to third world toilets. Prisons weren't made into comfortable Country Clubs. You didn't pay in spades for medical treatment for people who weren't even supposed to be here! Money was worth more I suppose, and quite frankly with the cost of everything seemingly going up, what can be expected? With outsourcing on the increase, things are harder.
