Why he couldn't have gone on to live his life with his new wife and left Terri to be cared for by her parents is beyond me.

Perhaps he honestly believed that his wife would not have wanted that. That is what he (and two witnesses) testified. Consequently, he fought to carry out her wishes.

This may or may not be true, but it is not beyond comprehension.

It is beyond comprehension that he would treat her parents the way he did knowing how much she loved them. And he supposedly did this "for" her. Anyone who does not see MS for what he is - which is despicable is blind.

Something which "may or may not be true" is not proven by the "clear and compelling evidence" standard.
