Dear Majority Leader FristWhile we applauded your firmness on behalf of Terri Schiavo ca. Friday, March 18, we are greatly troubled by your recent retreat from firm insistence on judicial responsibilty.
The attacks of the liberal media, e.g. The New York Times, and the irresponsible partisan opposition, e.g. Harry Reid, are slanderous and we dismiss them on their face.
You as the leader of the party representing the overwhelming majority of Americans must now stand strong and insist on the successful confirmation of the president's nominees.
We call upon you to remove the Democrats' unconstitutional insistence on a supermajority from the confirmation process.
Do not waffle. Do not go wobbly. Do not pursue a repugnant and cowardly compromise with the likes of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the DWI killer of Mary Jo Kopechne and the serial slanderer of far, far better men than himself.
