I just sent the email to CBS telling them that I won't watch any CBS program for a year if the film is shown and that I will try to find out the sponsors and boycott their products.

Does anyone remember seeing the link?"

I have not seen the link, but it sounds like something George Soros would do, based on his past, including this excerpt:

In 1994, emigree billionaire Geroge Soros wrote a check for $15 million to finance the Project on Death in America (PDIA). Its goal was to “transform the culture of death in the United States.” By 2003 when the PDIA ended its grant making and closed the program, it had distributed $45 million to organization and individuals working on end-of-life issues. Altho, the project is closed the work goes on. Is a large part of that work to make doctor-assisted suicide legal? It would seem so.
On the May 18th Fox News O’Reilly show, investigative reporter and best selling author Richard Poe gave an expose on Soros. Poe claims Soros is a maniacal figure who fancies himself as a New Age Messiah and that his philanthropy funds abortion, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, gay marriage, and globalization. He is out to destroy America as we know it, says Poe. In a Newmax cover story, Poe writes of the dark purpose behind Soros’ $200-million “Project on Death” program. Soros, who authored The Bubble of American Supremacy, is bankrolling the Democratic party’s attempt to unseat President Bush. Militantly anti-religious, Soroswrites that "devout believers of any sort are idiots who shouldn't hold public office."

Autopsy Decision Not Made By Michael Schiavo, Official Says

By DAVID SOMMER dsommer@tampatrib.com
Published: Mar 30, 2005

CLEARWATER - It is not up to Michael Schiavo to decide whether his wife, Terri, should undergo an autopsy after death. ``He doesn't have any choice in the matter,'' said Bill Pellan, director of investigations for the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office.
Medical Examiner Jon Thogmartin decides when an autopsy is required under state law, Pellan said.

On Monday, attorney George Felos announced that Michael Schiavo wanted an autopsy performed to silence critics who have accused him of planning to have Terri Schiavo's remains cremated to cover up wrongdoing.

``Claims have been made there is some motive behind the cremation,'' Felos said.

Pellan said Thogmartin had already decided that Terri Schiavo's situation requires him to perform an autopsy when another Schiavo lawyer called Monday to find out whether that was the case.

``There have been allegations that this is not a natural death,'' Pellan said.

Also, under state law, the medical examiner has the discretion of performing an autopsy when a body is to be cremated.

Michael Schiavo has obtained court permission to do so over the objection of Bob and Mary Schindler.

The Schindlers fought a seven-year legal battle with Schiavo over his desire to have his wife's feeding tube removed. They also objected on religious grounds to Schiavo's plans to cremate their daughter.

``Cremation is a very final form of disposition, and people want to make sure'' it is not done to cover up wrongdoing, Pellan said.

Michael Schiavo attorney Deborah Bushnell said her client wanted an autopsy performed when she called Monday to find out if that was Thogmartin's plan, Pellan said.

Felos and Bushnell could not be reached for comment

"Frist is completely wrong. Judicial decisions in the Schiavo case, clearly indicate the Judiciary is out of line.
Frist should be sent copies of the Zogby poll also. We should send them to all our Senaotrs and congressman, as well as Tom Delay.

Do they think we will just sit back and NOT pressure them to act?"

I hope Frist is not the Republican nominee; he is not conservative enough.

If a body is going to be creamated, according to Florida Law there must be an autopsy, (whose results we know we cannot trust). Felos LIED. Surprise, surprise. /sarcasm Rush discussed this on his show last week, and so hopefully many people are aware of it.

"`There have been allegations that this is not a natural death,'' Pellan said."

LOL! It would be NATURAL for anyone to die if the Judge ordered the removal of all nutrition and hydration as he did to Terri.

Frist certainly ACTS like a LIBERAL Democrat, not a Zell Miller Democrat.

I copied this from another thread, but I forgot where:

"Frist, R-Tenn., declined to join with conservatives who have complained about the federal court system in relation to the Schiavo case. "I believe we have a fair and independent judiciary today," he said."

Time for a NOT Frist for president campaign, or any other RINO.

Actually, not. Government's number one job is to protect our rights. In both of these examples, government was doing just the opposite. In Elian's case they were depriving him of his right to liberty. And in Terri's case they deprived her of all rights, including the right to life. The government should not have seized Elian and they should not have killed Terri. Just my opinion.

Well, I wish either of the Bush's had stepped up and said that this law is wrong and must be rewritten. It is wrong to order the death of an innocent and helpless person and this must be stopped.

I think an executive decision in this case holds just as much water as a judicial opinion. The branches have equal powers and both (or all three including the legislative branch) are entrusted with defending the constitution and our rights. The very worst thing that would've happened is Terri may have been permitted to live long enough to allow the legislators to try to get it right. And, of course, if the people thought the executive abused his power then he might be subject to impeachment. That's the way the founders set up the system.

To err on the side of life means that life is the default rather than death. It means the same thing as choosing life. The government should defend the right to life above all else. Can't have liberty without life. Can't have any rights at all without life.

Patricia Bucalo of Naples, prays during the funeral Mass for Terri Schiavo at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Christ Catholic Church in Gulfport, Fla., Tuesday April 5, 2005. Over five hundred people attended the funeral. Schiavo died thirteen days after her feeding tube was removed.

did anyone listen to Hannity this afternoon?? He REALLY came down with a senator( didn't catch his name but he sounded african american)........Sean lambasted him on the activist judge!!!!!!!!!

Sean got him in a hammerlock and made him admit he didn't know the facts--didn't even attempt to learn the facts.

Mark Levin pointed out the guest had been impeached so I took it to have been Alcee Hastings, mentioned in Ann Coulter's High Crimes & Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, Regnery, 1998.

If that were a dog on his autopsy table, someone would be in for big trouble.

You are right, it was Hastings. Hastings called Sean up and wanted to talk to Sean privately but Sean put him on the air. It was a great segment.

I finally got through to Delay's aide just now.

I have encouraged Delay to investigate the corruption surrounding the hospice including Medicare fraud, suggesting they read TheEmpireJournal.com which has done the spadework.

Do you have a link to the Tampa Tribune article? I'll fax that--or pithy sections of the article fitable to a single page.

The New York Times has announced Tom Delay is responsible for tooth decay, and the two shootings of judges, not to mention global warming.

Yet it missed that little business of Stalin starving tens of millions.

A clear sign Delay is on the right track and warrants our support.

"I've been doing research on when food and water became a life-prolonging procedure and who was Governor at the time."

http://www.nhwg.org/downloads/hospicesummary2.01.pdf

This seems relevant, FR_addict. The report put out by the National Hospice Work Group was published in 2003, but the criteria for "Expanding Boundaries - Overcoming Barriers" must have been in the works for some time. This summary does mention withholding food and water as well as redefining "terminal illness" and changing regulations regarding time limits for hospice admissions. We are much further down the euthanasia path than we knew, which is why the execution of Terri Shaivo is such a shock. Apparently some have been working diligently to make it all "legal."

Some quotes:
"Policymakers should act immediately to bring about policy reform of the absolute application of an individual’s prognosis as a primary criterion for reimbursement of services. The federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and its contract fiscal intermediaries should take steps to protect hospices, referring physicians
and patients from regulatory misinterpretations by establishing a statistically accurate definition of terminal prognosis. Such a definition would recognize the relevance of prognosis as a population measure, not an individual one, consistent with the wide literature addressing the fallibility of medical prognostication on individual patients." (Some people take longer to ki... uh, die than others.)

"CMS and state departments of health should also adopt a common survey process for hospice patients in nursing homes so that patients’ wishes for end-of-life care are not subordinated to clinically and personally harmful regulatory requirements such as the enforcement of feedings among dying patients." (So, what will the default policy be? Notice the framing of "feeding" as the enforcement of a "harmful regulatory requirement.")

National Hospice Work Group - Expanding Boundaries
National Hospice Work Group ^ | March-April 2003 | Bruce Jennings, et al

Access to Hospice Care: Expanding Boundaries, Overcoming Barriers, a report drawn from a three-year study of hospice access and values issues conducted by The Hastings Center and the National Hospice Work Group, a voluntary association of progressive hospices, was published as a Special Supplement accompanying the March/April 2003 issue of the bioethics journal, the Hastings Center Report...

The report also offers a new vision of hospice, one that holds firm to many of the traditions and values of the past but finds new and more flexible ways to deliver care. The model of traditional hospice care as an independent and specialized service will gradually be transformed into a more comprehensive model in which hospice becomes the coordinating center for a range of services and types of expertise that can be accessed by patients. In the authors’ new vision, America’s hospices will play an expanded role in addressing more of the supportive and symptom relief needs of patients confronting life-limiting illnesses and their families for longer periods and in a wider variety of settings and contexts...

To achieve this ambitious goal, policies must change and powerful cultural taboos surrounding death and dying must be overcome. What’s needed are a national program of professional education about hospice and palliative care and a massive social marketing campaign regarding hospice programs’abilities to address and resolve many of the most widely held fears about the end of life...

Frist did not seek office in TN as a Democrat, but he gave to Gore in 1990. Prior to 1994, he presumably had been apolitical. His family owns(ed) the Humana health system, but it may have another name now.

Frist is not so much "a conservative" but a standpatter when it comes to needed reform. He is in that sense "conservative" but not "a conservative." His "conservative" position is similar to that of one of his predecessors, Robert J. "Bob" Dole, R-KS.
