I agree!! There are probably more Americans than we will ever know, who are extremely OUTRAGED over what happened to Terri.
Hospital officials say they'll stop treating critically ill baby
(4/29/05 - HOUSTON) The mother of a critically ill baby is trying to figure out where to take her child after being told by doctors at Memorial Hermann Hospital that they would stop treating her in 10 days.
The five-month-old little girl was diagnosed with leukemia just weeks after her birth. Since then, she's undergone a number of different medical treatments and contracted an infection. Doctors and her parents disagree on what should happen next.
The news that Knya Dismute-Howard's doctors believe any more medical treatment would be futile wasn't a surprise to her parents. It only strengthened their resolve
"Her mind is fully there," said the baby's mother, Tamiko Dismuke-Howard. "She knows when we are there. I can't give up because she won't give up."
Tamiko picked up a letter from Memorial Hermann Thursday night. It says simply that doctors believe all medical treatment, other than to ease Knya's pain and suffering, would be useless. Her parents have 10 days to find another hospital for Knya or her medical care will stop.

oops I didn't see this one..
I read this the other morning...
It is very disturbing to see what's happening. IMO you treat as long as there is any chance of survival or recovery.
Did you read the one where a woman's baby was born alive in the abortion clinic in Orlando?
I called the ABC local tv to tell them to get in touch with parents to suggest to them to try St. Jude's. As I understand it, St. Jude's will treat a child for free, if parents can't afford it. The guy answering the phone said that he would try, but I don't know if he actually did.
If anyone has any other ideas, this baby might be saved. They do miracles at St. Jude's, and I hope the baby gets EVERY chance.
I'll repeat the post:

Besides St. Jude's BlogsforTerri mentioned this cancer hospital:

I used to like David Gergen but not anymore. He's become a raging Liberal imo!!
Is there any way to find out what their contact information is so that it can be given to interested parties who may be able to help?
I think I skimmed something like this.. but didn't get all the details. It didn't sound very cool what happened.
This is WHY I don't believe we should be pulling ANY persons from machines whether they show flat brain waves or not. There are just too many stories of miracles. Because of these miracles maybe "man" ought to get the idea that they are NOT in control of life and death!! What happened with Terri Schiavo is going to be a very very difficult precedent to undo. The only thing that can be done is to force those who oppose life OUT OF OFFICE. Let them know that they are not welcome in ANY state.
"Because of these miracles maybe "man" ought to get the idea that they are NOT in control of life and death!!"
That is VERY well said.
I wish I had contact info for the parents, but don't, so I used contact info from the link about the story.

Thanks for keeping up the fight to save the most vulnerable.
The Bush's are two busy playing to the liberal elite crowd. I found her whole comedy routine distasteful. They have time to tell gutter jokes, but cannot take the time to respond to the tratment of the disabled in this country. Even Jande Fonda was in the crowd.

Yes, that's scoop1
Excerpt... whole article worth reading:
"Michael Schiavo, the husband of the now-deceased Terri Schiavo, got some help from Catholics in his quest to convince the Florida courts to permit the course of events that eventually led to his wife's death by starvation. In the case Jeb Bush v. Michael Schiavo (decided in November), Michael Schiavo received the help of a local Catholic, James Walter, a bioethics professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Walter was one of the signers of an amicus curiae brief, submitted in July of last year, that argued that Michael Schiavo should be allowed to deprive his wife in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years of food and hydration. Terri Schiavo died March 29 of starvation."
"Professor Walter's participation in the Terri Schiavo story is a small one, but for Catholics in Southern California it is of some importance in demonstrating the quality of bioethics education at the Southland's premier Catholic university, for Walter is the director of the Bioethics Insititute at Loyola Marymount. The amicus curiae brief presumably reflects Walter's thought, since he signed it. But more revealing, perhaps, is an article he co-wrote in 2004 for the the National Catholic Reporter assessing Pope John Paul II's 2004 address in which the pontiff said that persons in a persistent vegetative should not be deprived of nutrition and hydration. In this article, I will consider the amicus curiae brief and Walter's Reporter article in turn.
==========================================================
NOTE TO SALVATION, NYer, PYRO: WOULD LOVE TO KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT HOW WALTER'S CONTRIBUTION REALLY SQUARES WITH THE CATHOLIC CHURCH'S POSITION ON EUTHANASIA. DID HE USE LANGUAGE COUCHED IN SUBTLETIES TO FRAME A HELPFUL POSITION FOR M.SCHIAVO THAT'S REALLY ACCEPTABLE TO THE CHURCH? ==========================================================
And.. showing both the state of the judicial system in Florida AND the spread of the culture of death at work .. an innocent life will again be taken:
Judge in Florida approves abortion for 13-year-old
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. A judge in Florida says a 13-year-old girl can have an abortion.
The girl, identified only as L-G, has been in state custody for four years. And her case has been at the center of an abortion fight.
Florida's Department of Children and Families says she is too young and immature to decide for herself whether to end her pregnancy.
However the judge who initially blocked her from getting an abortion until she could be psychologically evaluated says she won't be physically or emotionally harmed.
The judge's decision was released yesterday.
State officials have not said if they'll appeal.

FLORIDA DCF: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? WHERE ARE YOU HIDING???
"ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. A firefighter brain-damaged in a 1995 roof collapse had an "amazing" weekend, recognizing and speaking with his four sons and other family and friends for the first time in years, a family spokesman said Monday.
"I want to talk to my wife," Donald Herbert (search) said out of the blue Saturday at the skilled nursing facility where he has lived for more than seven years. Staff members put Linda Herbert on the telephone.
It was the first of many conversations he had during a 14-hour stretch, Herbert's uncle, Simon Manka said.
"How long have I been away?" Herbert asked.
"We told him almost 10 years," the uncle said. "He thought it was only three months."
PRAISE THE LORD!!
I just wanted to weep after reading this. Weep for JOY for this firefighter and his family........weep in grief and sorrow for Terri , yet again!!!
