Rasmussen was one of the best in 2004 coming closer than just about any other polling firm except for one IIRC.
Many "disapprove" of his job, in that he doesn't go after the Left enough. He still earns our vote regardless.
Rasmussen would have you believe we want a democrat instead.
I wonder what his ratings will do when the next "big" terrorist attack hits inside the USA.
It is pretty easy to predict that the bad guys will want to make a big score before he gets out of office. And of course, the Democrats will jump on it as a demonstration of failed Iraq policy, justification for a Dem president, etc...
I am less concerned about the natural response to the attack than I am the major PR campaign with MSM running full speed against the president that will ensue...
Big deal. What were Ronald Reagan's polls like in April, 1984? Lower than today, I'm sure. W doesn't go by those polls.
Play it again for me Sam.

i thought CNN et al said it had "plummeted" to 45 just a few days ago...
We are so blessed to have a man who doesn't care about the polls. He does his job as best he can without worrying about the gnats flying about his head 24/7
Pew also was dead on
CNN liberal polls are usually skewed against Bush.
More importantly.......
Tom Dashole was deeply saddened.
Awww shucks, I forgot.
'Lil Tommy D. is now in the "irrelevant" column.
I hope his replacement, Rectum Reid (from my state, I can say that), is just as saddened / disappointed as DasHole would have been.
LVM
you're kidding, right ?
These polls are meaningless. GWB doesn't care about his poll ratings; he didn't care in his last term, when he was planning to run again. He for sure doesn't care now.
Unlike his predecessor, he will do what he thinks is right, no matter what the polls say.
Yeah, they were all over that, but I'll bet they don't mention the new polls. Gotta love those lying RATs. Sooo predictable.
And don't forget, Hitlery will use anything to her advantage.
Last week they said he was at an all-time low. Now he's back over 50%.What does it all mean? Not much.
He'll do what he thinks is right, regardless of the polls. We're not dealing with Bill Clinton here.
The only reason the numbers were down to 45 last week is because he had been off the newscasts during the Terri Schiavo news cycle, and the Pope news cycle. Once these stories ran their course, people again began thinking about President Bush.
