This story is more than three hours old now with no recent updates. You'd think they would cancel the flight entirely if there were a terror threat to the airplane. It's possible the man in question was simply an ordinary criminal that UK authorities didn't want leaving the country.
British Airways still lists the flight as being delayed, but no further info.
