" I want to see an Orthodox Easter service this year. If I am up to, healthwise, being out that late at night"

Well, that one does run late...I've been there until after 2:00 some years. The service of the entombment of Christ on Great Friday evening is also long, but ends by 10:00 and is quite spectacular. I can guarantee you've never seen the like of it. You might want to consider that one and then go the next night to the resurrection Liturgy if you're up to it.

It's even better when seen in Greece! What a celebration in the villages! No one does Easter like the Greeks!

I'm not Orthodox, but my Greek wife used to be and we attended the church for a while. This year we are planing an Orthodox Easter lamb roast for some of our Protestant friends. Lots of food,Greek dancing and cracking the red eggs. "Christos annesti!" I can't wait.
