This dude is very lucky. If the bite was 'wet' and not 'dry' the rattler's hemotoxic/cytotoxic mix would have seriously messed up his face. Chances are some skin would have sloughed off. He is one lucky dude.
Rattlesnake Bob was in luck that day. Looks to me like if the snake had decided to eject venom, that was awfully close to Bob's brain and heart.
