You bet, Cyril Wecht is an Outstanding ME. This is one of the few (can I say ONLY?) case where I have seen this blatant denial of an independent ME for the Plaintiff/ Defendant? I'm not even sure at this point who the sides are called in these suits.
That being said, I am 100 percent sure that Herr Doktor Judgenfuherer Greer and the Pinellas County ME already had the results written beforehand. I am also reasonably sure that there was NO examination of the bony structure to confirm/rule out any antemortem fractures, especially ones that were extant prior to the onset of the alleged "Persistant Vegetative State", nor do I believe that any examination of the brain was done, in the manner suggested by Michael Baden MD, the noted Medical examiner, to acertain if the damage was initiated by a blow or some other physical insult.
When I was listening to various ME's on Fox and Court TV weigh in on this, there was one overriding truth that they all agreed upon. This truth was that a GOOD post-mortem would be able to tell if there had been abuse or some sort of injury which caused Terri to go into the brain-injured state in the first place, and also if there were any skeletal injuries, which, now long healed, would show evidence of abuse.
The problem is now, that the "Old School Tie" club will close ranks and explain away all this.. I will now give a modest example. I wish to state that I am neither a Doctor, nor a Medical Examiner, I am an Aeroneutical Engineer, but have enough friends, and a spouse in the medical field, that I do have a working knowledge of the terminology.
1. The brain injury will be gundecked to agree with the "brainstem the only viable part of the brain" story. and that Terri had no consious thought or ability to percieve stimuli. Any evidence to the contrary will be conveniently damaged or destroyed in a manner similar to the botched JFK autopsy. Photographs will be doctored to show what they want to show, and anything to the contrary will be destroyed.
2. There will be little or no mention of any skeletal examination, since that will be deemed to have little or no bearing on the cause of death. If any X-rays are taken, they will be routine, and most likely so poor quality, that they will be unreadable and useless as evidence. At some point in the near future, they will "disappear" never to be seen again. There will be NO investigation of any of the fractures or healed fractures mentioned in the hospital records from 1990. There will be no "red flags" put up, which would be a very common occurrence today, where spousal abuse is a highly looked for incident, and warning signs are looked for in every ER, and even asked about from patients, both male and female who come in with any kind of fall, or fractue, or black eye... [OPNOTE: gwmoore was teaching mrsgwmoore and FReeper trinity1 (daugter of gwmoore) some self-defense moves so they could protect themselves. Mrsgwmoore had the moves down pat and broke gwmoore's nose. Quite a funny incident..well, off to the ER we go, and one of the questions I was asked "Are you in an abusive relationship? Are you bing abused right now? Do you feel in danger for your life?) OK, we all had a good laugh, but the questions were asked END OPNOTE]
At any rate, there will be no mention of the skeletal injuries, and if there is, it will be blamed on low calcium levels in the blood, dating from her bulemia, or from long bed confinement, and that will be the final word.
The cause of death will read:
IMMEDIATE CAUSE: CardioPulmonary Failure
CONTRIBUTING FACTOR(S):Multisystem Disease, Dehydration/Starvation,Cachexia
OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Persistant Vegetative State, Profound Cerebral Atrophy due Extended Anoxic Damage, Contractures of Limbs
The only thing they may leave out is the "Dehydration/starvation" because they don't want that in an official document.
At any rate, I don't believe we are going to ever see any revelations in the documents released by the Pinellas county ME, and now that Terri's remains have been cremated, the evidence is gone as well. My own opinion as to MS not wanting to return Terri to her parents....EVIDENCE. He is so darn scared that an exhumation would occur and a REAL autopsy would be performed, and show the TRUTH (no statute of limitations on Murder, remember) that he HAD to get rid of the evidence...
Now, I live just outside of Philly, and I am waiting with anticipation to see the local sleuths and paparrazzi following the gang around until they see where the ashes go.
Remember the song " Run Sinner Man 'Cause the Dark Can't Hide You ", well, that crowd is going to be running for the rest of their natural lives, because they KNOW they did something wrong, and they are going to be looking over their shoulders 24/7 forever (Huge Evil Grin)
That's just my take on this, sorry for the long post, but that's what I figure, there is going to be no satisfactory report from the ME, and nothing is going to stop the pre-decreed outcome that Herren Greer and Felos have already set up a long time ago.

That having been said, I'd think a rigged autopsy followed by burial would be better for cover-up purposes than a rigged autopsy followed by cremation. After all, whoever does the autopsy could 'create' whatever cause of death was needed and any future autopsy would find the same thing.
