Yes, it was. Terri was included in the mass yesterday for Pope John Paul.

He always championed life. He always taught us to protect the weakest among us. He lived his message to the end.

And today he met Terri in heaven. Among all the others that he touched here on earth. I imagine it is quite a crowd!

very sad.

i just got home and am attempting to let it all enter.

the man of the world.

i value him for his understanding of communism and his stand with solidarity, and of course, president reagan and maggie thatcher.

those 3 are the moral beacons of our age.

Terri was included in the mass yesterday for Pope John Paul.

She was also remembered in the Mass being celebrated now in DC for the Pope.

I know how you feel.   The whole Polish nation is in very deep mourning.   Besides being our Pope, he was a very special and compassionate worldly person.   I don't know if there is anyone out in the Catholic hierarchy to step into those big shoes?

As a Roman Catholic Christian, John Paul II, The Bishop of Rome, has touched my life deeply.

He has brought back the values that I personally believe, and has set so many examples in his life and in his death that they are transcendent of all religion & nations.

He was a leader that the world surely needed in this time, from the cold war, to the fall of communism, and especially to his support of all life, something I personally hold dear myself.

AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

HAIL, MARY, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Rest in Peace John Paul II.

I have had to leave off and on, away from TV, etc. I know I did not see the traditional "closing of the shutters" of the Pope's room's windows. Did this occur? I think they do not do it until he is removed from the bedroom, but I don't know if that happened yet, either. Darn...life is interfearing with my watching! Anyone know?

Lovely compilation of the past days. Thank you!

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.

Just on Fox News - the last word the Pope uttered before his death was Amen.

Another sign of the truth to the story that has been told: That he knew the day and hour of his death.

May this great man, Pope John Paul II, rest in peace. He has done his work on earth well- even this non-Catholic feels he did a good job.

Thanks for the ping, AAC.

He was a great man and a great Pope, he will be missed, but I am happy that his suffering has ended, God blessed US by his presence, and the next pope has some mighty big slippers to fill.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.

Goodbye, Dear Friend....
