Thank you so much.
Time of Death/Time of Joy: 9:37 PM Rome time
You're welcome
Though I know Pope JPII is with God and his son Jesus
My heart is heavy with sadness
He will be dearly missed by so many
The Lord has called his faithful servant Pope John Paul II home.
That is exactly what I thought. I am glad he was able to do that before he left us. May he rest in peace.
Come to his assistance, ye Saints of God, come forth to meet him, ye Angels of the Lord; Receiving his soul: Offering it in the sight of the Most High.
V. May Christ receive you, who hath called you, and may the Angels bear you into Abraham's bosom.
R. Receiving his soul: Offering it in the sight of the Most High.
V. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
R. Offering it in the sight of the Most High.
V. Lord have mercy.
R. Christ have mercy.
V. Lord have mercy.
(Silently) Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses, as we forgive those who tresspass against us.
V. And lead us not into temptation.
R. But deliver us from evil.
V. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
R. And let perpetual light shine upon him.
V. From the gate of hell
R. Deliver his soul, O Lord.
V. May he rest in peace.
R. Amen.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer
R. And let my cry come unto You.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with you spirit.
Let us pray
To You, O Lord, do we commend the soul of Your servant, John Paul II, that being dead to the world he may live unto You; and whatsoever sins he has committed through the frailty of his mortal nature, wash away by the pardon of Your most merciful love. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
And world leaders, which this Pope was.
He is now healed and whole....
Rest in Peace, John Paul...
Thank you, Ivan.
"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that dayand not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
2 Timothy 4:6-8, NIV
Sad ping.
That was beautiful -- thank you!
God Bless John Paul II. He rests now in the Everlasting Arms.
Well done good and faithful servant.
RIP, JP II...

It's perfect as is.
Never mind theological correctness.
Beautifully stated!
The Holy Father had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother, especially Our Lady of Fatima. He died on the eve of Mercy Sunday and on First Saturday, a day set aside for the Blessed Mother.
