Rhetorical question. Heaven forbid we get into a scrap with NK, Iran and/or China before we can jack up our force levels. There are still some 'issues' on the recruiting side also. Retention is key also.

Don't know about other areas, but Los Angeles Command is having little problems with recruitment. There are gripes among the recruiters about the number being bombed out of boot camp, however. More than a few classes are having a fifty percent drop rate as trainers are holding recruits to very high standards. Drop rates for schools are going fifteen percent.
Even with those astounding drop rates, I don't know of any commands complaining about having a lack of personnel.
