I think it's definitely obfuscation when you report on a poll and report what certain groups replied without even mentioning the overall numbers. It's also selective reporting of the type that the NY Times practices.
I realize many aren't as concerned about the journalistic standards of the Times as fact that they are on the wrong side, but as far as I'm concerned selectively reporting only conservative things is no better than selectively reporting only liberal things.

It depends on who is doing the reporting. Fox News considers itself unbiased. I am sure Newsmax is under no illusions and the article did not deceive at all. It's not deception to select numbers that prove the point you are trying to make. We are not idiots - we know that the populace as a whole did not think it was murder.
