How can you be 'hurt' advocating for life?

By giving your enemies enough rope to hang you with.

YOu can start by asking those ready to throw Jeb under the bus for "not doing enough."

Only in the rose-colored, patchouli-scented world of the left is human life considered worthless.

By doing a 180 on the position that the feds should stay out of state affairs.

I agree. The case brought to light the fact that we can no longer take our lives for granted when in someone else's care.

We'll be wrestling with these issues for some time to come, but I don't see a long-term downside for the GOP. There's only so much the left can say, without becoming ghouls and advocating euthanasia outright, and trampling on the rights of the disabled.

Your absolutely right in your assessment.

The ones advocating life, (Bush and most of GOP) do not have to look over their shoulders wondering if they took the right course of action.

I keep telling anyone who will listen that this is a positive for pro life views in the long run.

Just as during the election, the death cult places way to much into opinion polls.

By "advocating" but not "acting"!

If it had been Bush's daughter, Clinton's daughter, any member of Congress's daughter, any celebrity or well-known athlete's daughter, anyone with any influence at all's daughter, does any one think he would have worried about Judge Greer's defiance of Congressional law?

Of course not, and this gets to the heart of matter, and is why so many are avoiding asking this very question of him and of themselves. They avoid it like the plague, because even a five-year-old knows that this is what goes to the question of character.

The GOP will suffer the loss of many of the pro-life supporters, and even a small loss is too much.

Hopefully, some leaders with spine will come forward to fill the gap, and at least try to stave off the spector of Hillary in the White House.

You've got it exactly right. Everyone on this thread who thinks the GOP hurt themselves should go check the Zogby Poll -- which, unlike ABC News, asked accurate questions.
