The New York State GOP has yet to find an opponent for her, and doesn't seem to have much prospect of doing so. Rudy doesn't seem to want in the race.

So this is all a phony scheme. She's doesn't need this money for her 2006 campaign. She needs a slush fund that she can use to support activities in advance of 2008, and a source of funds to buy off other Democrats to support/endorse her in 2008 by transferring funds into their campaign accounts.

Just wait and see... there's gonna be a lot of Dems facing tough reelection battles in 2006 and 2008. If Hillary is playing banker, they'll be signing her praises all the way until inauguration day. Robert Byrd, Maria Cantwell, and a host of others will be tripping over themselves to let her "co-sponsor" their legislation and take all the credit when she wants it. And they'll be giving her cover when she needs it. Because they need her $$.

Why aren't the Clintoons billionairs? They should be because of all the defamation of character and slander suits they DIDN'T file against their many accusers. One can't file a law suite against what's true. Instead, they probably still haven't paid off their legal bills.
