I voted for GWB, but that was the sorriest excuse for a compassionate comment as I've ever heard.

He came across to me as insincere, disinterested, rote, and didn't even show the respect to pause a moment before going into his one trick-pony speech (which I've heard a dozen times).

He missed a wonderful opportunity to talk about family values -- for example - and the danger of de-valuing life by abortions and euthanasia.

We need a LEADER not a READER. Not one who reads what someone else writes for him. (And he's not even a very good reader!)

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, we need a lip biting Slick Willie,rushing down to Florida, biting his lip, crying for the camera, and saying something inane, filled with emotion, to make your heart sing. Sorry, that is precisely what we do NOT need!
