How about this poor case, also in Florida? I tell you this state, there's so much wacko stuff going on here. Did you hear that 911 phone call? That 911 phone call, the five-year-old little girl whose parents were shot by some wacko who thought her parents turned him in for growing a marijuana plant or farm or whatever, and the sheriff was on television last night. The sheriff: (paraphrasing) "Well, the sad thing about this when you get right down to it is this man would have not even gone to jail for growing the marijuana. Based on his previous record it would have been a first offense. The second bad thing about it is he targeted these people. He was wrong about them turning him in, but he just went over, this little girl " and the crux of it is this man had threatened this exact action, and a judge refused to issue and grant a restraining order when this little girl's mother had asked for one. You know, evil is out there. It's spotted. Evil identifies itself in many cases. Evil warns you that it's coming, and if you get the wrong judge, you gotta wait till evil strikes.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: The AP today has a little profile of the angelic George Felos, lawyer for Michael Schiavo, and in this piece George Felos says that what's really going on in the Schiavo case is a fear of death rather than any respect for the sanctity of life. Now, I'm sorry, Mr. Felos, that's just simply perverted. That is just a perverted view of what's going out there. There is no fear of death out there. There is a fear of killing, a fear of state-sponsored killing! It is exactly the sanctity of life that is governing the people who are afraid that the woman was killed, was going to be killed and has been killed. To say there's a fear of death...? See, this exposes this: "We want people to die. We want people to die. It's beautiful, it's loving, it's compassionate." Like I say, folks, I don't understand them but they're out there. I want you to listen to this 911 call if you haven't heard. This is going to wrench you apart. A five-year-old girl calling 911 after hearing a gunshot in her house.
GIRL: My mommy and daddy, there's blood coming out of my dad's mouth and he fell off the bed.
911 DISPATCHER: He did? Where's mommy at?
GIRL: I don't know. I think they're dead.
DISPATCHER: Okay. Your daddy's on the floor. How old are you?
GIRL: I'm five years old, and I have a dog in the house.
DISPATCHER: Okay, baby, okay. Let me get somebody right over to you. Okay? And what made you wake up tonight?
GIRL: There was -- I think I heard a gunshot.
DISPATCHER: Who has a gun in the house?
GIRL: I don't see a gun, but I'm scared.
DISPATCHER: Sweetheart, I will not let anything happen to you. Ooooh. What's your doggie's name?
GIRL: Liza.
RUSH: David Edward Johnson, the shooter, committed suicide at home later that day. The dispatcher from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office is who you heard talking to that little girl, and the girl's mother had asked for protection because this guy, David Edward Johnson was threatening to shoot them because he thought they had turned him in on a marijuana charge. They hadn't, and the judge refused to issue a restraining order. Fortunately this little girl has a huge family that will care for her, but I mean the whole thing here, folks, all of this rolled up together is just tragedy with a capital "T".
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
Amen. I think it is now time for Congress to pass a law allowing criminal charges to be brought against judges for judicial misconduct and then allow jail time in addition to impeachment for these arrogant bastards.
This man and wife apparently did not understand the rules of life.
The government has no responsibility to protect you.
Certainly a restraining order is worthless.
This man apparently did not read the local newspaper
Home-invasion bill gets initial OK
Tallahassee Democrat ^ | March 22, 2005 |
Floridians could shoot anyone who invades their homes or cars with the intention of harming them, under a bill that got preliminary approval today in the Senate.
The bill by Sen. Durrell Peaden, R-Crestview, basically says that you don't have to back away from a confrontation. Under existing law, people can be prosecuted if they don't first try to find a way to escape from a confrontation.
Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallendale, unsuccessfully tried to amend the bill so that it would only apply to homes, cars and other private locations - not confrontations on the street. Geller said he supported the old concept that "a man's home is his castle," and thought people should be able to defend themselves against carjackers, but he didn't want shootouts on the street if they could be avoided.
The Senate shouted down his amendment in a voice vote, and scheduled Peaden's bill for final action on Wednesday.
If approved, the bill (SB 436) will go to the House, where a similar measure is pending. With 82 cosponsors, the House bill (HB 249) is assured passage.

Only a gun could have stopped this shooting
He could have a hero to his daughter.
HEROES
And does anyone really believe that a judicial restraining order would have stopped this homicidal IDIOT???
Amen.
Yes, this is a tragic circumstance. But the only people I can think of who might have stopped this were the "Pre-cogs" in "Minority Report". Or maybe Jean-Claude Van Damm as "Timecop" going back a day or two from now.
Sheesh! Rush is turning into a government-loving patsy lately.
"And does anyone really believe that a judicial restraining order would have stopped this homicidal IDIOT???"
BING BING BING we have a winner. I don't think the threat of a misdemeanor would have deterred him.
Ergo, the only difference between the 2 killers is that one wore a black robe.
This "worthless" Florida judge should be forced to support this little girl until she graduates college. In the hereafter, he can join Greer and Felos in hell where they can discuss their worthless lives.
"In the hereafter, he can join Greer and Felos in hell where they can discuss their worthless lives."
Lord haste the day.
It doesn't sound like the guy had a chance to use a gun, if he'd had one. He was shot while lying in bed, and then his body fell to the floor. His wife's body was still in the bed. Sounds to me like the killer shot people who were either asleep or just awakening.
